Chris Bachelder and Jennifer Habel co-wrote the novel Dayswork (Norton, 2023) at their dining room table during the pandemic. Bachelder is the author of four previous novels, including The Throwback Special, which was a finalist of the National Book Award. Habel is the author of two poetry collections, most recently The Book of Jane, winner of the Iowa Poetry Prize.
