Jim Richards’s first collection, Song for My Left Ear, Song for My Right (Finishing Line Press,
2025) was a finalist for the Codhill Press Poetry Award. His second collection, Swift Witness, is
forthcoming in 2027 (By Common Consent Press). His work has appeared in Poetry
Northwest, Prairie Schooner, Copper Nickel, Sugar House Review, and elsewhere. He teaches
literature and creative writing at Brigham Young University-Idaho.
