Lesley Jenike’s first collection of essays City of Toys was the runner-up for Ohio State University Press’ 2023 Gournay Prize and was published as part of their 21st Century Essays Series in early 2026. Her essays have appeared in The Kenyon Review, West Branch, Lithub, Image, The Iowa Review, The Colorado Review, and many other journals. She served as a regular columnist for Ploughshares’ website from 2019-2020 and is currently a Professor of Writing, Literature, and Philosophy at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio where she lives with her husband and two children.
