Matthew Batt is the author of the memoirs Sugarhouse and, most recently, The Last Supper Club. The recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Aspen Writers Foundation, and the McKnight Foundation, Batt’s nonfiction has been featured in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Boston Globe, Outside Magazine, Tin House and elsewhere. A teacher at the University of St. Thomas in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Batt is a graduate of the PhD program at the University of Utah.
