Matthew Wickman is Professor of English at Brigham Young University and the founding director (emeritus) of the BYU Humanities Center. He has published four books and dozens of articles on subjects ranging across literary history and theory, often bringing literature into conversation with disciplines such as philosophy, law, mathematics, and the sciences. His current work explores spiritual experience, religion, theology, and postsecular theory and criticism, and he presently serves on the international board of the Society for the Study of Christian Spirituality. He and his wife Kerry are the grateful parents of two daughters and live in Salt Lake City.
