Professor Rob Carney (UVU) grew up in the Pacific Northwest but has lived the last 26 years in Salt Lake City. He is the author of Accidental Gardens (Stormbird Press 2021), which won the 15 Bytes Book Award for Creative Non-Fiction, and eight books of poems, including Call and Response (Black Lawrence Press 2021) and The Book of Sharks (Black Lawrence 2018).
He is a recipient of the Milton Kessler Memorial Prize for Poetry and the Robinson Jeffers/Tor House Foundation Award, a featured contributor to Terrain.org, and his work has appeared in The Dark Mountain Project and dozens of other journals. He and his family live in Salt Lake City.
