Tom Docherty

Tom Docherty is a poet and critic from Glasgow, Scotland. His first book of poems, If the Mute Timber, was published by Shearsman in 2022; his poems have appeared in journals such as PN Review and The Dark Horse; and in the Carcanet anthology New Poetries VI. His first critical book, Geoffrey Hill and the Ends of Poetry, was recently published by Manchester University Press. He works as an organist and lives in an old country house with his wife and five children.
